What happened? Skyrim update 1.9 was made available today on the official Bethesda website, although it is not yet live on Steam or other platforms. The new 1.9 update includes a number of bug fixes, including the long-anticipated fixes for NPCs sinking into the ground and crashing through walls during combat - something many players have been experiencing since Skyrim's release last November. After a brief period of down time, the same patch became available for free from bethesda.net using Steam as well as PC launcher patches to non-Steam gamers from here and here . The beta of Skyrim patch 1.9 was out some time ago but it has disappeared from Steam since then, so things are taking more time than expected it seems.
